Red Road selected for Press Photographer’s Year 2011
Congratulations to Statement Images photographer Robert Ormerod who had his photo essay Red Road selected for The Press Photographer’s Year 2011.
The essay follows the lives of the residents of Red Road flats in Glasgow. Red Road is Scotland’s main centre for accommodating asylum seekers who have recently arrived in the country. It houses several hundred of a total of around 2000 asylum seekers living in Glasgow.
An exhibition of all the selected images can be seen at the National Theatre, London until 4th September 2011.
