Description
The M1 motorway lies empty after it was closed because of the severe flooding which hit the South Yorkshire region. Flood water can be seen in the distance to the right and left of the carriage way. The motorway lay in the path of the Ulley Dam which was ready to break at anytime. Authorities feared that the dam breaking would lead to the motorway itself being flooded. Photo taken 26 June 2007.
